Pujiang, a small and medium-sized county in Zhejiang Province, has had a prosperous literary style and a thriving culture since ancient times. The people of Pujiang have put down their hoes and can recite poetry and pick up pens to paint, which has also brought the small county town of Pujiang the reputation of being the "hometown of poetry and painting".
In the 1980s, the people of Pujiang started making crystal glass beads and developed into producing crystal lighting and crystal handicrafts, forming a unique crystal industry. The production of crystal glass accounted for more than 60% of China's total, and it is known as the "Crystal Capital of China". When it comes to the development of the crystal industry in Pujiang, it is impossible not to mention the first person in Pujiang crystal - Wang Yuancheng.
Wang Yuancheng loves calligraphy and painting, writes well, and paints well. With his "beauty" cells and relentless pursuit of art and craftsmanship, he has created one proud work after another, promoting the rapid development of the crystal glass industry in Pujiang and winning the "Outstanding Contribution Award for the Development of the Pujiang Crystal Industry" awarded by the People's Government of Pujiang County.
On October 28, 2020, at the opening ceremony of the China Crystal Craft Museum, Wang Yuancheng donated more than 270 crystal artworks and collectibles he had created and collected throughout his life to the People's Government of Pujiang County, adhering to his unlimited love for the crystal industry and his determination to promote the development of Pujiang.
